6. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector and detach the wire harness retainer.
7. If equipped, remove the oil cooler hose bolt and the oil cooler hoses from the oil filter adapter.
8. Remove the 4 bolts and the oil filter adapter and gasket.

Discard the oil filter adapter gasket.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surface. These tools cause
scratches and gouges that make leak paths. Use a plastic scraping tool to remove all traces of the gasket material.
Clean the sealing surfaces.
2. Install a new gasket and the oil filter adapter and tighten the 4 bolts in the sequence shown.

Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. If equipped, install the oil cooler hoses to the oil filter adapter and install the bolt.

Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector and attach the wiring harness.
5. NOTE: Lubricate the oil filter 0-ring seal with clean engine oil
Install the oil filter.
6. Fill the crankcase with clean engine oil.
7. Connect the lower radiator hose to the oil filter adapter.
8. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.

Suppression System.
If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
