27. Connect the passenger air bag module jumper harness to the passenger air bag module electrical connector on the vehicle wiring harness.
Vehicles without side airbags
Caution: Do not deactivate the side air bag module circuit by removing the side air bag bridge resistor from the side air bag floor electrical
connector.
28. If the side air bag bridge resistor is removed, an open circuit fault will be generated by the restraints control module (RCM).
If a restraint system diagnostic tool is installed, a low resistance fault will be generated by the RCM.
Vehicles with side airbags
Note: If the front seat outboard side bolsters have the word "AIRBAG" embossed on them, the vehicle is equipped with side air bag modules.
29. Disconnect the passenger seat side air bag module electrical connector, located at the lower rear of the seat cushion pan.
