Grand Marquis V8-4.6L VIN V Flex Fuel (2006)
If equipped with fire suppression system, depower the system.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
3. Remove the clamp plate bolt and disconnect the steering gear lines.

Drain the fluid into a suitable container.

Discard the O-ring seals.
4. Remove the pressure line-to-engine nut.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power steering pressure switch.
6. Disconnect the pressure line-to-pump fitting.

Discard the O-ring seal.

To install, tighten to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).
7. NOTE: When connecting a fitting with an O-ring seal, a new seal must be installed.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Using the special tool, install an O-ring seal over a fitting.

Fill and leak check the system.

If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
9. If equipped, turn the air suspension service switch to the ON position.
