Traction-Lok limited slip differentials may exhibit a slip stick noise on turns after extended highway driving. The noise may be caused by the lubricant
(friction modifier) breaking down. This condition will not damage the internal parts of the axle. However, to correct, drain and refill the axle with
E0AZ-19580-A or equivalent rear axle lubricant. Refer to the appropriate 1986 Shop Manual for fill capacities. After filling, add four ounces of friction
modifier, C8AZ-19B546-A or equivalent.
