FORD 1983-84 LTD
LINCOLN-MERCURY 1983-84 MARQUIS
Condition of the engine temperature warning light coming on with no loss of coolant during high ambient temperatures and prolonged idle mode may be
serviced by installing service radiator and, on some vehicles, radiator air deflectors.
Replace the radiator using part number E4DZ-8005-A.
NOTE:
It is important that the proper coolant level is maintained in the coolant overflow reservoir. The 1983 vehicles should have a minimum of 2"-3"
of coolant in the reservoir when cool. The 1984 vehicles should be maintained between "Add" and "Full Hot" marks.

On vehicles built prior to 1/4/84, install right and left. radiator air deflectors as shown (Figure 6).
