Valve Body: Service and Repair
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Loosen pan attaching bolts, then drain fluid from transmission.
3.
Remove attaching bolts, pan and gasket.
4.
Remove filter screen and O-ring.
5.
Remove low/reverse servo cover, piston, spring and gasket.
6.
Disconnect electrical connectors from converter clutch solenoid on Mustang models and two additional electrical connectors at 3-4 shift solenoid
on Thunderbird models.
7.
Remove bolts from control valve body.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
