Timing Cover: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove drive belts, water pump pulley, timing belt cover, crankshaft damper and pulley, timing belt as outlined under ``Timing Belt, Replace,''
camshaft sprocket, timing belt tensioner and auxiliary sprocket.

3.

Remove attaching bolts and the timing belt inner cover.

4.

Reverse procedure to install, torquing stud bolt to 14-21 ft. lbs. and the retaining bolts to 71-106 inch lbs.
