TEST 4, CONTROL CIRCUIT CHECK
1.
Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between wire at ECA pin 32 and purple wire at solenoid.
2.
If there is continuity, proceed to TEST 5.
3.
If there is no continuity, repair open in ECA control circuit, then verify solenoid operation.
TEST 5, SOLENOID FUNCTIONAL CHECK
1.
Disconnect solenoid hose at turbocharger and PCV fittings and plug PCV hose.
2.
Using suitable vacuum pump, apply vacuum through turbocharger hose.
3.
If vacuum holds, problem is not in solenoid.
