The shorted windings (current flow) test, shown in the 1985 Merkur XR4Ti Shop Manual, Page 23-01-15 is an invalid test. This test will destroy the
E-core coil.
Delete the shorted windings (current flow) test illustration, located in the lower left hand corner and the procedure located in the upper right hand corner
of Page 23-01 -15 of the Merkur XR4Ti Shop Manual.
