1.
Check fuel pump fuse in circuit protection panel, Fig. 8.
2.
If fuse is not blown, proceed to TEST 7.
3.
If fuse is blown, replace fuse and attempt to start engine, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of fuel pumps.
Test 7, Fuse to Pump Circuit Check
1.
Remove 15 amp fuse from fuse holder, then connect jumper wire from alternator output terminal to one wire in fuse holder.
2.
If pump does not operate, move jumper to other wire in fuse holder.
3.
If pumps operate, proceed to TEST 8.
4.
If pumps do not operate, repair open in circuit, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of pumps.
Test 8, Relay to Fuse Continuity Check
1.
Remove fuel pump relay from circuit protection panel.
2.
Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between fuse terminal and relay terminal 87 in panel.
3.
If there is continuity, proceed to TEST 9.
4.
If there is no continuity, repair open in circuit, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation.
