1.
Connect test light from ground to terminal 86, Fig. 10, and turn ignition switch to RUN position.
2.
If test light illuminates, proceed to TEST 11.
3.
If test light does not illuminate, repair open in circuit, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of fuel pumps.
Test 11, Relay to ECA Continuity Check
1.
Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay terminal 85 and ECA pin 22.
2.
If there is continuity, problem is not in fuel pump circuit.
3.
If there is no continuity, repair open in circuit, then repeat TEST 1 to verify fuel pump operation.
Test 12, Low Pressure Pump Feed Circuit Check
1.
Lower fuel tank, disconnect fuel pump wiring connector and connect test light from ground to black/red wire in harness side of wiring connector,
then have assistant turn ignition switch to RUN position.
2.
If test light illuminates momentarily, proceed to TEST 13.
3.
If test light does not illuminate, repair open in circuit, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of pumps.
