Remove the plug from the extension housing and install the driveshaft.

Install the catalytic converter.

Install the flange attaching nuts at the converter outlet-to-muffler inlet connection.

Install the converter inlet-to-turbocharger attaching nuts.

Align the exhaust system and tighten the attaching nuts to 21-30 ft.lbs. (28-40 N-m) at the converter outlet and to 25-35 ft.lbs. (34-48 N-m) at the
turbocharger.

Lower the vehicle, connect the battery negative cable, and close the hood.

Remove the block of wood holding the clutch pedal. Press the clutch pedal to the floor several times to adjust the clutch cable freeplay.

Fluid Level Check

NOTE:

The transmission lubricant is a semisynthetic oil. When adding oil to the transmission, use only E5RY-19C547-A (Ford Specification
ESD-M2C175-A).

The transmission is filled to the proper level when the lubricant is even with the bottom of the filler plug hole.
