Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.
2. Remove the flexplate. For additional information, refer to Flexplate See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex Plate/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Flexplate.
3. Using the Slide Hammer and the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Remover, remove and discard the crankshaft rear oil seal.
Installation
1. NOTE: Clean all sealing surfaces with metal surface prep.
