Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket.
7. NOTE: Make sure to install a new exhaust manifold gasket.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the cooling fans.
2. Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector.
3. Remove the 2 exhaust manifold to catalytic converter bolts.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the 6 nuts and the exhaust manifold.

To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

Remove and discard the gasket.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
