This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to include 1998 model year vehicles.
ISSUE:
A shake/vibration from side-to-side of the high series console may occur on some vehicles under normal driving conditions. The shake/vibration could
cause "squeaks," "rattles," and CD player skips. This is caused by low clamping load of the rear attachment bracket on the console to floor pan.
ACTION:
Install a bracket to the existing floor bracket and attach it to the internal structure of the console. Refer to Instruction Sheet 7207, included in the High
Series Console Floor Bracket Kit, for details.
