Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to any work on the electronic engine controls or damage to the electrical component
may occur.

2. Remove the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.

Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

Remove the screws.

Remove the CKP sensor.

INSTALLATION 

NOTE:  Be sure sensor wiring is routed away from the battery cable.

1. Install the CKP sensor.

Position the CKP sensor.

Install the screws.

Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

2. Connect the battery ground cable.
