REMOVAL 

1. Remove the axle shaft.

CAUTION:  Never remove the inner wheel bearing oil seal  by itself.  Always remove the inner wheel bearing oil seal and the rear wheel bearing
at the same time.

NOTE:  If the inner wheel bearing oil seal is leaking, the axle housing vent may be plugged with debris.
