Mountaineer V8-302 5.0L VIN P EFI (1998)
Remove the (A) reverse band servo cover, (B) reverse band servo piston and rod and (C) reverse band servo spring.
INSTALLATION
1. NOTE:

This is not an ordinary installation procedure and does not compensate for band wear.

Lubricate the reverse piston seal to facilitate assembly and prevent damage to the seal.
Install the reverse servo piston and return spring.

Do not install piston cover.
2. Install Servo Piston Selection Tool and tighten the band apply bolt.
3. Attach Dial Indicator With Bracketry.

Position the indicator stem on the flat portion of the reverse servo piston and zero the dial indicator.
