5. Release the side shield clips.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the side shield, the clips must be depressed in order to release the side shield from the cushion pan.
6. Unhook the side shield from the seat latch.
7. If equipped, disconnect the heated seat switch electrical connector.
8. Remove the side shield.
