Remove the adjusting clip from the cable housing. See Figure 9.

Cycle the throttle body cam 2-3 times to remove all slack from the speed control cable. Make sure the throttle plate is fully closed with slack
removed from the cable.

Back off the cable housing one (1) notch. See Figure 9.

Insert the adjusting clip into the cable housing. The speed control cable must not be pulled tight for proper operation.
