Mountaineer 4WD V6-4.0L VIN E (1999)
4. Install the Timing Chain Tensioner Tool.
5. Turn the crankshaft one revolution.
6. NOTE: The Crankshaft Holding Tool must be installed flush with the rear of the damper.
Position the crankshaft at Top Dead Center (TDC) of number one cylinder and install the Crankshaft Holding Tool.
7. NOTE: Camshaft timing slots are off-center and below the center-line of the camshafts.
Position the camshaft timing slots to properly fit the Camshaft Holding Tool and position and secure the tool on cylinder head.
