Removal and Installation
1. Remove the taillamp assemblies.
2. Remove the 2 rear bumper bracket bolts.
3. Remove the bumper cover pin-type retainers.
4. Disconnect the rear parking aid sensor electrical connector, if equipped.
5. Remove the side marker lamp electrical connector, if equipped.
6. Remove the 8 bumper cover-to-splash shield pin-type retainers.
7. NOTE: The Mountaineer rear bumper cover has a bracket located at the upper edge of the moulding that attaches to the sheet metal.
