22. Position the RH side C-pillar trim panel out of the way.

Pull the lower portion of the trim panel outward to release the lower tab.

Pull the trim panel downward to release the upper tabs. Slide the trim panel down the safety belt, out of the way.
Vehicles with safety canopies
NOTE: Once the weatherstrip is lowered, if retaining clips are not present in the door jamb at the C-pillar pinch weld, the vehicle will be equipped
with side air curtains.
23. Remove the RH C-pillar trim panel.
1. Pull out and release the retaining clips.
2. Pull out and release the retainer.
3. Lower the door opening weatherstrip, slide the C-pillar trim panel up, releasing the retainers and remove the C-pillar trim panel.
Vehicles with side air curtains or safety canopies
24. Disconnect the RH side air curtain/safety canopy electrical connector.
25. Attach the restraint system diagnostic tool to the vehicle harness side of the RH side air curtain/safety canopy electrical connector.
Vehicles with side air curtains
NOTE: Once the weatherstrip is lowered, if retaining clips are present in the door jamb at the C-pillar pinch weld, the vehicle will be equipped with
side air curtains.
