All vehicles 

28. Remove and discard the gasket. Inspect the parking pawl, parking pawl return spring, and the parking pawl shaft. Discard components if damaged

or worn.

29. Remove the parking lever actuating rod.

Installation 

All vehicles 

1. Install the parking lever actuating rod.

2. Install the manual control lever.
