6. If installing the original glass, remove the excess butyl from the rear quarter window glass before installation.

Installation

1. NOTE:  When applying sealant leave a slight gap at the bottom to allow for drainage.

Apply 6 mm (0.23 in) sealant or equivalent meeting Ford specification D9AZ-19562-B to the rear quarter window glass frame.

Start at the bottom middle and work around the frame.

2. Install the rear quarter window glass.

1. Position the rear quarter window glass.

2. NOTE:  Loosely install the ten nuts before tightening.

Tighten the 10 nuts.

3. Install the rear headliner pin-type retainer.

4. CAUTION:  To prevent damage to the coat hanger retainer, use a 3/16-inch flat-blade screwdriver for this step.

Install the third row coat hooks.

Close the access cover.

5. Install the quarter trim panel.
