Install the battery tray. Tighten the retainers to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
14.
Install the ground wire to the fender apron. Tighten the screw securely.
15.
Secure the wiring routing clips to the battery tray. Use tie straps to secure the wiring as necessary.
16.
Position the battery tray insulator, then install the battery tray insulator retaining strip.
17.
Install the power distribution box (PDB). Tighten the retainer to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
18.
Install the battery, then install the battery hold down. Tighten the retainers to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
19.
Rotate the intake air resonator down into position, then install the intake air resonator bracket.
20.
Tighten the clamps on the air cleaner outlet tube.
21.
Connect the positive battery cable, then the negative battery cable.
22.
Remove the memory saver.
23.
Recheck cooling fan operation. Go to the appropriate Cooling Fan Operational Check at the beginning of this attachment. If the cooling fan does
not operate after replacement, call the Recall Hotline at 1-800-325-5621 for further instruction.
2.5L Engine - Install - Supplement
1.
Install the cooling fan assembly onto the radiator. Tighten the retainers to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
2.
With the help of an assistant, install the radiator and cooling fan assembly into the vehicle. Tighten the retainers to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
3.
Remove the wire securing the A/C condenser, if equipped.
4.
Install the A/C condenser onto the radiator, if equipped. Tighten the retainers to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
5.
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transaxle, install the transaxle cooling line routing clip onto the fan shroud.
6.
Connect the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
7.
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transaxle, connect the lower transaxle cooling line to the radiator. Tighten the line to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).
8.
Connect the air conditioning compressor clutch connector, if equipped.
9.
Install the lower air deflector.
10.
Lower the vehicle.
11.
Connect the upper radiator hose to the radiator.
12.
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transaxle, connect the upper transaxle cooling line to the radiator. Tighten the line to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).
13.
Connect the coolant overflow tube to the radiator.
14.
Connect the air conditioning compressor clutch cycling switch, if equipped.
15.
Connect, then attach, the power distribution harness connectors to the fan shroud.
16.
Install the ground wire to the radiator support.
17.
Connect the battery negative cable, then remove the memory saver.
18.
Fill the engine cooling system.
19.
Start the engine and allow it to idle until normal operating temperature is reached.
20.
Turn off the engine and allow it to cool, then check and top off the coolant.
21.
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transaxle, check and top off the transaxle fluid.
