Cylinder Identification Sensor: Service and Repair
Camshaft Position Sensor
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine air intake resonators.
3. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
4. Remove CMP sensor retaining screw and remove sensor from engine.
INSTALLATION
1. Make sure CMP sensor mounting surface is clean and that O-ring is in proper location.
2. Position CMP sensor onto engine and install retaining bolt. Tighten retaining bolt to 18-23 Nm (13-17 ft lb).
CAUTION: Do not overtighten CMP sensor retaining bolt or damage to sensor or engine mounting surface may occur.
3. Connect fuel charging wiring to CMP sensor.
4. Install engine air intake resonators.
5. Connect battery ground cable.
