ISSUE:
The 1995 Contour/Mystique Service Manual does not contain a procedure for in-vehicle service of the Main Control in the CD4E Transaxle.
ACTION:
For in-vehicle service of the Main Control in the CD4E Transaxle, refer to the following Service Procedure.
IN-VEHICLE SERVICE
MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL
1.
Remove battery from vehicle. Refer to Service Manual, Section 14-01.
2.
Remove air cleaner assembly. Refer to Service Manual, Section 03-12.
3.
Remove one (1) bolt and position power distribution box out of the way.
4.
Remove seven (7) bolts from battery tray and remove tray.
CAUTION:
USE EXTREME CARE NOT TO PLACE EXCESSIVE PRESSURE ON THE A/C LINES AND FITTINGS WHEN DISCONNECTING OR
REPOSITIONING A/C COMPONENTS. EXCESSIVE PRESSURE MAY CAUSE COMPONENT DAMAGE AND A/C SYSTEM LEAKS.
