Swing the 5th/reverse gear shift fork to the side. Rotate and remove the 3rd/4th gear shift fork (Figure 7). Remove the 5th/reverse gear
selector fork.

Release the gear idler shaft mounting. Remove two (2) reverse idler gear shaft support bracket retaining bolts. Swing input and output shafts
to the side. The reverse gear idler shaft mounting should lift up (Figure 8). The reverse gear idler shaft mounting remains in the transaxle.
