Keyless Entry Transmitter: Description and Operation
The keyless entry/computer operated lock system includes two four-button (hand-held) keyless entry remote transmitters. The transmitters are
programmable and all the transmitters for the vehicle must be programmed at the same time. When diagnosis is carried out it is essential to have all
transmitters to carry Out the tests.
The keyless entry/computer operated locks will not operate with the ignition switch in the ACC or RUN position.
To unlock the driver front door, press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry remote transmitter once.
To unlock all doors, press the UNLOCK button on the remote transmitter a second time within five seconds of unlocking the driver front door.
To release the luggage compartment door press the blue TRUNK button on the remote transmitter.
To turn on the interior lamps and door lock cylinder illumination press either the UNLOCK, TRUNK or PANIC button on the remote transmitter.
To lock all doors press the LOCK button on the keyless entry remote transmitter once.
To confirm that all doors have locked, press the LOCK button again within five seconds of the first press. This will sound the horn and send another lock
signal to the door lock actuators.
To activate the personal security alarm, press the red PANIC button on the remote transmitter. The horn will sound and the headlamps and center high
mount stop lamp will flash.
To deactivate the personal security alarm, press the red PANIC button again or turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
