9. Detach the console (front section).
1. Engage 2nd or 4th gear.
2. Lift out the holders.
3. Slide the console to the left-hand side to disengage.
4. Raise the console.
10. Remove the console (front section).
1. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connectors.
2. Remove the console.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Automatic Transaxle
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
WARNING: WAIT AT LEAST ONE MINUTE AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES BEFORE REMOVING THE
FLOOR CONSOLE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCIDENTALLY
DEPLOYING THE AIR BAG(S) AND MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
2. Remove the rear floor console screws.

Position the front seats to gain access.
3. Fully apply the parking brake lever.
