Backing Plate: Service and Repair

Removal 

1. Remove the brake shoes.

2. NOTE:  Cap the brake tube connection to prevent the fluid loss or dirt ingress.

Remove the wheel cylinder.

Disconnect the brake tube union.

Remove the bolts.

3. Disconnect the parking brake c able from the backing plate.

Depress the clip.

Remove the cable.
