Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
REMOVAL
WARNING: WHEN RELIEVING COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE, COVER THE EXPANSION TANK CAP WITH A THICK CLOTH TO
PREVENT THE POSSIBILITY OF SCALDING. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN PERSONAL
INJURY.
1. Turn the expansion cap counterclockwise a quarter turn to relieve the cooting system pressure.
2. Retighten the expansion tank cap.
3. Remove the intake air resonator and hose assembly.
4. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove the ECT sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
