Special Tools
Removal
1. Remove the left-hand valve cover.
2. Remove the right-hand valve cover.
3. CAUTION: The piston must be at the bottom of its stroke with both valves closed. Any loss of air pressure will allow the valve to fall into
the cylinder.
Remove the spark plug.
4. Install the adapter into the spark plug bore and connect a compressed air supply at 102-144 psi.
5. Using the special tool, compress the valve spring and remove the roller finger follower.
