Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Removal 

1. Release the fuel pressure.
2. Remove the upper Intake manifold. 
3. Disconnect the fuel lines.

4. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness electrical connectors.

Fuel injectors

Position fuel charging wiring to one side.

5. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.

6. CAUTION: Do not loosen or bend the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) cable bracket. Bracket alignment is critical and damage

to the IMRC actuator may occur. 

Disconnect the IMRC actuator cable from the stud and bracket.
