Fuel Pressure Regulator: Locations
Returnable Fuel
The fuel pressure regulator for the engine is a vacuum operated, diaphragm type. The fuel pressure is regulated by the vacuum generated in the engine
plenum, acting on the diaphragm which controls a valve that controls the fuel flow. This allows acceptable fuel pressure to be maintained over all
operating demands of the engine, excess fuel being returned to the fuel tank. The regulator is attached directly to the fuel rail, where it is sealed with
O-rings on the flow side and a compression seal on the return side.
