6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Disconnect the air bag module electrical connector from the steering column.
8. Remove the air bag sliding contact, release each of the three retainers using a thin bladed screwdriver.
9. Remove the air bag sliding contact feeding the electrical connector through the column opening.
