Never probe the connectors on the air bags. Doing so may result in air bag deployment and personal injury.

The air bag sliding contact centralizing procedure must be carried out before installing the air bag sliding contact.
1. Center the air bag sliding contact.

Rotate the inner rotor against the outer rotor fully counterclockwise until it stops.

Rotate the inner rotor clockwise approximately 2.75 turns until the alignment markings are aligned and the locking tab locates into the slot.
2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive
strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
