This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to revise the part numbers listed for the Ring Gear Assemblies.
ISSUE
No forward engagement movement on some vehicles may occur although reverse engagement may be possible. This may be due to the
Overdrive/Reverse ring gear assembly causing a wobble and side loading of the forward clutch snap ring retainer. This unintended load may cause the
snap ring to disengage from its retaining groove. The Overdrive/Reverse ring gear assembly may be overlooked during repair and reusing it may cause a
repeat problem.
ACTION
Replace the Overdrive/Reverse ring gear assembly together with any other damaged components found during a transaxle overhaul for this concern.
