Shifter M/T: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise the vehicle.

3. Disconnect the heat shield and remove the nuts on the shifter assembly.

Lower the vehicle.

4. Remove the floor console. 
5. Remove the shifter assembly.

Disconnect the shift cable and the selector cable.

Remove the cables from their abutment brackets by twisting each abutment bracket counterclockwise.

Remove the shifter assembly.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
