Install the pad and trim cover on seat back. Refer the 1986 Taurus/Sable Shop Manual and use Steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Seat, Front-Back Trim Cover

Make sure the caps are on the headrest shafts and install the headrest guide rod sleeves. (Figure 8)
4.
Remove tape from caps and screw the caps onto the sleeves tightly.
5.
Check the up and down movement of the headrest. If it is difficult to move, slightly loosen one or both caps as required.
