An open circuit in the fan low speed dropping resistor can cause high A/C pressures that may be vented through the pressure release valve. This
condition can cause poor A/C output. Use the following steps to diagnose and correct this condition.
1.
With the engine running, turn on the A/C and check that the engine cooling fan is operating at low speed. If the fan is operating correctly,
refer to the Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, Section 36-32, to correct poor A/C output. If the low speed fan does not operate, go to Step 2.

Turn ignition off and disconnect the Integrated Relay Controller Module (IRCM). Refer to Figure 1 for IRCM location.
