ISSUE:
An unusual "rattling" noise or vibration in the engine compartment may be caused by inadequate torque on the crankshaft pulley retaining
bolts.
ACTION:
To correct this, install four (4) new design crankshaft pulley retaining bolts that have a washer type head for better torque retention. Refer to
the following service procedure for removal and installation instructions.

1.
Loosen the accessory drive belts.
2.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
3.
Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly.
4.
Remove the existing four (4) pulley-to-damper attaching bolts, Figure 3.
NOTE:
If the crankshaft pulley, damper, or accessory drive belts are damaged, replace as required.
5.
Install four (4) new pulley-to-damper attaching bolts (N804743-S8). Torque the bolts to 22-31 ft.lbs. (29-41 N-m).
6.
Install the right front tire and wheel assembly.
7.
Lower vehicle.
8.
Tighten the accessory drive belts.
