ISSUE:
The Taurus/Sable Shop Manual Section 44-10-2 and the Escort/Lynx Shop Manual Section 44-10-5 contain a sentence that could be
confusing. It reads "The wagon liftgate latch has double-bolt construction designed to be equivalent in function and load capacity to side door
latches".
ACTION:
A better description would be "The wagon liftgate latch has a double-bolt construction with both a primary and secondary
position. It is important that any adjustment be checked to assure that the latch will secure in both the primary and secondary
position after adjustment".
Please insert this information in the appropriate places in your Shop Manuals.
