Charging system concerns may be caused by water entering through the air vent and damaging the alternator voltage regulator. To prevent water from
flowing under the new regulator, a bead of silicone sealer (or equivalent) should be applied along the top edge, as shown in Figure 4.
CAUTION: DO NOT apply the sealer over the air vent.
