Washer Fluid Level Switch: Description and Operation

The windshield washer reservoir fluid level sensor:

Is mounted in the windshield washer reservoir

Consists of a float and a magnet assembly that opens and closes a reed-type switch.

contacts close when the fluid reaches approximately one-quarter full.

signals the warning indicator when the windshield washer pump is energized.
