Seat Latch: Service and Repair
Cleaning and Inspection
The front seat back latch is modular and does not require adjustments. However, proper lubrication of a hesitant front seat back latch is permitted using
Multi-Purpose Grease D0AZ-19584-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M1C93-B.
The only authorized service permitted on the front seat back latch is the following:
1. Tightening of all retaining screws.
2. Replacement (in entirety) of a damaged or non-functional front seat back latch.
3. Removal of any foreign material, such as tie straps, pieces of foam and trim.
