Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

The Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT sensor) changes resistance in response to intake air temperature. Resistance decreases as the surrounding air
temperature increases, providing a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that indicates the temperature of the incoming intake air.
