Remove and throw away the existing auxiliary latch and assist spring, Figure 2.

Install the new latch assembly to the radiator support and adjust as necessary.
NOTE:
THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE INFORMED THAT THE LOCATION OF THE HOOD AUXILIARY LATCH HAS SLIGHTLY
CHANGED.
