Replace shift lever opening seal by carefully gripping edge of retainer with long-nose pliers until retainer is bent or cracks in
half. Remove retainers and seal, Figure 3.

NOTE:

Both posts on steering column upper shroud must be intact, Figure 4. If one or both posts are broken off, upper shroud
must be replaced. The new shroud will be in prime and must be painted to match.
